A Trip to Canada
5th grade
I went to Canada for the first time in my life because my dad had to go to a meeting. He was going to talk about our story. When we got to the hotel it was supposed to be a suite with two queen beds but there was only one bed and a mat on the floor and guess who had to sleep in that mat on the floor, Reagan and me. As you can see my vacation did not start out like I wanted it to. After we got settled we went to the building where the meeting will be held. It was huge but it was such a long walk to it, it was such a work out. It was so boring after we got in. There were so many people there that wanted to meet my sister and me but it was worth it because the last room we went to had sodas and coffee. Then we went back to the hotel and got to go to dinner. I wore a blue dress and blue jewelry with matching earrings. The little town was so pretty up close. There was even a baseball arena for the Blue Jays even though we did not go to a game. There was a game everyday we were there. My favorite part was when I went shopping of course. I love the stores. It was awesome! Of course I wore my favorite dress. I found out that 9,000 people were there and that made me extra nervous. I love the green room. There was food and sodas. There was also a makeup room. They had everything a girl could ever want to have. But some of the stories were so sad like a girl who had lost her family and her dad had left their family when they most needed him. So they were all alone. She kind of looks like me but way more beautiful and she also had curly hair with red as rose lips. She is also so kind to who ever she meets. It was our time to speak, my dad went to make an entrance. When I was walking up on the stage I was about to scream. I was so scared. I was just about to speak I said, All the way to China and back. After we were done everybody wanted our picture. It was awesome being popular like a movie star. But after a while it was making my head hurt. Then we went to a booth and the booth was to raise money for the kids in China. Guess what happened? Everybody wanted to take our picture, so we hid in the snack closet. It was fine with us because we were surrounded by snacks. At the end of the day I had a good time in Canada. I would love to come back to Canada again soon.
My First Time in Nashville
5th grade
I couldn’t wait to get out of the car, because I had to drive all the way to Nashville with Sydney, my dad and my mom. We all finally got to the hotel. And it was humongous. You had to use a map to find your way around the hotel, it was five miles long. We got to the hotel at 5:00pm. I couldn’t wait to explore but I was tired. The next day I woke up bright and early. I couldn’t wait to explore. There were five different restaurants and there were ten different shops but the one most important thing I wanted to do was go to the biggest store of all and I thought it was close but it took forever to find it. All we had to do was go down an elevator and make a right then left and go straight and you will be there. Instead of doing that we went down the wrong elevator and made a left instead of a right and we turned around and there was a dead end. Can you believe we got lost in a hotel? I mean who gets lost in a hotel. My mom said we have to go back to the elevator and go back to floor 4 but it wouldn’t let us go down to the 4 floor so we had to go to floor 3 and we had to find another elevator and I was carrying what seemed to be a five pound bag and I had a water bottle in it and no water. We finally got to an elevator that could take us to the 4 floor. When we got to the store, we only bought three things. When we finally got to the hotel I was so tired. The next day we just hung out at the hotel.
